In the present, there was a boy named Retiõne. Retiõne and his friends love to play around with each other, go to each other's houses and have fun. Until one day, when Retiõne arranged a play session in his new treehouse. His friend suddenly spotted a magical portal that leads to a place they have never been to. So, they decided to check it out. When they went into the forest and into a clearing, they went into the magical portal which lead them to a magical place made of candy and sugar floss. They explored, took selfies, photos and had fun there. They then kept it as a secret between them. When Retiõne's parents found out, they told him to bring them there. He did as he was asked and his parents loved the place, his dad helped him build another treehouse next the the portal so that he and his friends could have fun there too. They then happily continued with their happy lives.

Remi has always loved the forest, the different sounds, smells, the way she could get lost in it and never have to go home to her non-existent parents. She goes in and out of her life with her best friend everyday just waiting until they're both old enough to leave their small boring town. But one day Remi is attacked, and nearly killed, by a man in the forest. When she wakes up everything's different. She feels something inside her, a power, but she has no idea what happened to her. All she remembers is the man's strange yellow eyes. When three new boys show up at her school, one with yellow eyes, asking her question she gets nervous. And then one night while heading to go get her friend she's taken and thrown into a world she didn't know existed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Remi?" Jen says suddenly. "Hmm?" I hum back. "Do you ever wish you could just live in the forest? Away from everyone and everything?" She looks at me. "Free." We stare at each other for a long time. I see the real meaning in Jen's eyes. Her worries for going home to her overly strict parents. Her fears for the future and the unknown in general. "If we lived in the forest we wouldn't have gummy bears any more." I comment to lighten the mood. She doesn't find it funny. "I'm serious Remi! What if we did run away?" "Jen, we can't just run away. I know your parents are strict but I truly think they just want what's best for you." She says nothing. For a moment I fear she's mad at me but then she puts her head on my shoulder and I know we're okay.

19 parts Complete

Nora's lived on the island all her life--catching food, doing experiments, keeping what she considers a safe distance away from the Wolf. Then he starts acting weird. Right in the middle of working on figuring out the problem, she falls asleep. Genex wakes up with barely any memory of anything from his 13 years of life. All he knows is that he's got a pet saber-tooth tiger named Fluffy, his mom is dead, and that he's got a girl named Nora in his head (when he's really not supposed to). He woke up to the Aregonian gods, Osires and Zios, telling him about training and his future and staying away from Pantheos, the Aregonian god of the underworld. But everything they tell him to do, Nora says the opposite. Everything they say, Nora hints that they're lying to him. Unsure of what to think, and with Nora continuously telling him to simply "look deeper" and "wait a little longer", Genex decides he needs to find the answer, and he needs to find the answer now. -> This story can also be found in To Be a Writer, but I wanted to publish it seperately as well. :)
