"Lan Zhan, look how beautiful! Aren't they?" Wei Wuxian pointed towards the silver butterflies flying gracefully around him, their wings beating gently in the night like tiny pieces of a starry sky.

"Mn!" replied Lan Zhan, a hint of a smile on his usually stoic face as he watched this enchanting display of nature.

"Wtf, it's burning!" Wei Wuxian suddenly exclaimed in surprise, his tone changing from admiration to alarm as his fingers came in contact with one of the butterflies and felt an unbearably rising heat coming from its wings.

"Wei Ying!" called Lan Zhan in concern, laced with the urgency of moving nearer, ready to intervene.

"How can it be." Wei Wuxian asked, staring at the butterfly he touched, now changed from shining silver to crimson red, its color pulsating with an intensity that seemed almost alive.

The other butterflies vanished in a split second. Their silvery forms seemed to dissolve into the air, but this red butterfly did not. It went on floating around Wei Wuxian, as if it wanted to being shield before him.
