Most companies are working on adding more hours to the work week. Not only does that take a toll on the employee, but also the company. The employee will be burnt out at the end of a full schedule and can't help but be less productive in their later days. According to Forbes, around 70% of employees are "not engaged" in their work because they're not feeling confident about what they do or don't know. A study from Gallup showed that 70% of the workforce is disengaged, i.e., not motivated or inspired at work. The spirit of the employee to work hard for their company is slowly deteriorating, and it's directly attributed to how much they are overwhelmed with their daily tasks and responsibilities. They don't have time to think outside the box or have new ideas because it's about keeping up with everything else they have to do daily.
