Afton's Insanity

Evangeline Kani Afton was different than most people her age. She could read things that she shouldn't be able to, able to do complicated math, and seemed to understand things most kids didn't. "A Genius!" Most people would comment, but she didn't really think that was right. She was even more sure she was right when one night before her 4th birthday, she woke up to a bunch of confusing images running around in her head. Images of people she didn't meet, of stories and songs, and other things she couldn't understand. There was even a story about her family! One where everyone died, only she wasn't in it. Evangeline didn't understand it, but what she did know was that she was going to protect her family. One way or another.
