Dragomira grew up in poverty. Brought into the shining lights of the royal court. She learned to crave power. And was forced to marry the cruel king everybody fears. 
Stuck between two men, brothers. Between the decision to save herself or her family. Between her desire to run away or to take the crown. Her mind fights the heart. And maybe she doesn't know who she is anymore and what she wants, because her present mingles with the past.
And so, trying to escape her fate, she is once again thrown into the maelstrom of court intrigues and drawn into a plot to kill the king.
Whose heart will be broken? Who will die? And who will sit on the throne?
