(This was originally a one-shot on Ao3 but I separated it into chapters here because a 28k one-shot is excessive. It only ended up that way because it was originally part of a Maribat writing contest and couldn't be a chapter fic. (Spoiler: I am the MGI 2024 Maribat Secret Writers champion! This was my round 3 submission.))
