Mahnya Onde Kori was born with fire in her eyes and wind in her veins. Her brown cheeks were always speckled with mud and her hair tangled with twigs and leaves. She was born truly wild.
(It's just a shame that her wings were clipped so young).

Superstition couldn't help but plague the townsfolk as they feared the child to be a cursed angel, even the child's parents. So, for the sake of easing their worries, the town abandoned the youngling to a deserted island to leave her to die. But what they would never know, is how resilient the child was on her own... Years passed by, and the child grew into a cold, cunning, and independent young woman. She survived off natural instincts and wit alone. Along with her supernatural abilities, she was able to learn how to speak the human language by luring sailors to her home and taking everything from them: from books, to food, to their treasures. Maybe somewhere out there, in the world, there's freedom and adventure? Maybe one day he can have a name of his own. Then Mackerel is dragged into a world where the Marines have a target on him and his new crews backs and he's forced to coexist with a passive aggressive swordsman who hates his guts... but thats fine because Mackerel feels exactly the same.
