Science fiction- The burnt out stars

This science fiction story is about the last and only surviving civilisation of thinking beings in the dying universe. Because the universe has entered its state of infinite expansion. All stars have burnt away. This civilisation somehow manages to spot the last surviving star system that will die in 150 years. To save themselves from being pulled into this drift of cosmic runoff, they seek refuge there. They have a plan to survive beyond infinity if they can reach the edge of the universe. To know if they manage to do so or they get tossed endlessly in all directions by this cosmic runoff. Please read this scifi story.
