Lincoln Sawyer was at work when the world ended and people started dying. And reanimating. And eating each other. It was gross and horrifying, and best not talked about lest someone lose the much-needed nutrients of their lunch. But yeah, the world ended during working hours. And while he would have loved to save all the living creatures in the fish store, he knew such a task was impossible. Certain fish required certain conditions that he simply couldn't meet without power or products. This became obvious when, about a month into the end of the world, the water critters within his care began dying. So, Lincoln granted most of them mercy and kept only the hardiest fish available in the store that could survive in harsher conditions. Betta fish. Also known as his favorite type of fish to care for and watch. With a cart of tanks full of sororities, babies and single males, Lincoln sets off into the world, determined to find a place to settle himself and his precious cargo so they could live a better life. Thankfully, the undead are slow shufflers. Unfortunately, the survivors are not. But he'll be damned if he allows anyone to harm his fish.
