Sarah Taylor was an average sixteen-year-old girl living a perfectly average life alongside her two best friends Maya Cadigan and Lillian Snow. But that all changes the day she meets Kora: a mysterious traveller from another world. A world of magic and monsters, of beauty and chaos, where ideas are made real. A place known as the Phantasm. However, not every fantasy is a paradise, and travelling with Kora means contending with a ghost from her past who will stop at nothing to get the young girl back into her clutches... including taking away her one means of escape. Will Sarah, Maya, Lillian and Kora be able to fight their way across the lands and retrieve the silver mirror? Or will the cruelty of the Phantasm tear them all apart? "I finally passed by the last alley before the one my apartment was situated on, when suddently my heart stopped. My body freezed and my ears were ringing from the loud sound of the end. The smell of death, fear and blood. It all happened so soon, too soon. She was just standing there watching as the life was flowing out of the guy's body that was now laying on the cold concrete, lifeless. Her tall figure... so powerful, confident. I watched everything wide eyed and then, the world had stopped. Her head suddently turned towards me and, oh my God. I could feel those sharp, green eyes burning a hole right through my skull in the darkness. I held my breath and quickly hid behind the wall but it was too late. I was foolish. I should've ran away." ... Grace Miller, a clumsy second-year psychology student, never expected to witness a murder-or to cross paths with Amy Carnell, a cold, powerful woman who never lets anyone in. They couldn't be more different. But fate has a twisted way of pulling opposites together. What happens when light collides with shadow? Read to find out :)
