The Blood Tide (The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom)

Since Nintendo has announced they're not releasing DLCs for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, liberty has been taken to write about the author's vision of what additional questline(s) should be like. This story takes place prior to the final battle against the Demon King, but right after the other quests in the main questline, the equivalent of what the DLC: Champions' Ballad was to Breath of the Wild.

Under a Bloodmoon's night, the Demon King is unleashing the full force of his army upon the remnants of the Kingdom of Old. The monsters Link has faced up until this point have been mere toys compared to what Ganondorf has in store.

Features:

-Character development for important characters, such as Ganondorf and Link

-New characters and (mostly) villains, although not in excess and loyal to Zelda lore

-More references to and continuity with Breath of the Wild, the Imprisoning War, and the Era of Hyrule's Founding, and other Zelda games.

-Plot elements, lore, and themes explored in BOTW and TOTK at the surface level, developed further through action-packed storytelling and intriguing fan theorizing

-Additional quests involving the Monster Control Crew

-No new minor shrines, but new dungeons
