Jonas is a kind hearted jester living in the country of Wales during medieval times. He falls for Wales' princess, Thalia, but already knows that she was engaged to another man who not only resembles him but treats the jester like any other servant in King Leonard's castle. Fed up with Mark's jeering, Jonas joins the battle against Scotland, but soon regrets after seeing Mark's dying body after the battle. Before dying, Mark tells him to take care of Thalia. However, Jonas is unable to keep the promise as Thalia is kidnapped by Scotland as the battle ensued. Leonard, mistaking Jonas for Mark, sends the jester on a solo rescue mission. Jonas, knowing of the dangers outside of Wales, brings his childhood friend, Jonathan, with him. Will Jonas be able to rescue her or will he forever be corrupted by the obstacles that face him?
