Sunny Shelley wants a girlfriend, but she doesn't want to date.

She can't bear the awkward stages of getting to know someone only to find, after investing too much time, that they won't work out. She can't bear to let herself fall for a girl only to find out she's straight. She can't bear the thought of someone getting to know her and only then realising it wasn't worth the effort. It's not easy being a lesbian in 1999. If she could just wake up one day and be in a relationship, all those stages skipped, that would be ideal . No painful first dates, just a fully-fledged relationship with someone who already loves her exactly as she is.

Of course, she doesn't expect that to actually happen. But the universe works in mysterious ways. When Sunny speaks the her desire out loud one night after work, at the exact moment that she trips and loses her bus fare down the wishing well she walks past every day, she thinks nothing of it - until she wakes up in a strange flat with a woman she doesn't recognise. A woman who, according to her friends, has been her girlfriend for over a year.

Only when she has everything she asked for does Sunny realise that maybe she asked the wrong question, because what is the point of waking up a year into a relationship if she has no memory of it? It isn't easy. It's pretty fucking scary, actually, and she wants more than anything to go back to the nineties. But that isn't easy. She might just have to get used to this new life. Which means doing the one thing she wanted to avoid.

Sunny has a girlfriend. Now she has to get to know her.

Completed ✨👸🏼 Born to the fairy elite, the royal line, next in line to take the crown, a queen to be announced on her next birthday, with her royal responsibilities and...one choice... only one... everything else has always been decided for her. "Who has Princess Rowan chosen to be her eternal mate?" A question, oh a question, It was already whittled down by the draw upon her birth, a family name picked at random, to keep this fairy line fair, hardly fair to the one picking, to do so from such a small pool of options. Luckily fairy families were large but as Rowan searched the faces in front of her, five brothers... all handsome, all rather eager to take the beautiful Princess's hand... it was the sister, stood to the left, observing, that caught Rowans eye and if she only got this one choice then it was clear. She had read the rules, many, many times, they clearly state to pick from the chosen families kin, sixteen years and over only, nothing on the gender, not that it had ever been done before but rules were rules and Rowan smirked as she let her choice roll over her tongue. She would choose the one thing her father would be most furious about but couldn't change, her choice, and no other fairy, king or not could change it. "Andromeda" she would announce, finger flexed toward her, and the entire kingdom would erupt in the great hall with shock, as Andromeda of the sky line, was pushed forward by her mother into the mix with her brothers. "Rowan" her father would curse "if you place that ring on her finger your line has ended... please rethink your choice" But Rowan didn't care... and Andy had called out to her long before now, the beautiful brunette with striking green eyes, a daring smile and a powerful magic that Rowan had long admired. And after all... it was Rowans choice... to hell with the rules. *I DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION FOR THIS BOOK TO BE COPIED, OR ADAPTED ON THIS PLATFORM, OR ANY OTHER, BY ANYONE ELSE* *Completed February 2023*

Do you ever feel like your own existence doesn't belong to you? As if you were the protagonist of a movie or a play where you need to please all the spectators and live according to the plot? But who writes that plot? Who decides of the unexpected developments and the people you meet? It should only be a matter of personal choices that we make by following our heart and listening to that little voice deep inside. Yet being the master of your own life seems complicated. Almost impossible. Your parents make decisions in your name until you become semi-independent. Then your brother takes the lead and becomes the self-proclamed parental authority. Your group of friends puts so much pressure on your shoulders that you end up acting impulsively and unwittingly just to get them off your back for a few days. Among all of that, the question that frequently comes up is: 'what about me?' What about my wishes and my desires? What about my tastes and preferences? What about my opinion on decisions that involve no one else but me? What about my feelings? Do they even matter, or am I simply supposed to look down and let my surroundings control my every move? Will I ever be able to find myself? Will they ever see me as me and not as the portrait of me they made up in their heads? Will I ever be able to assert myself and make myself heard? Will I ever obtain the leading role? This is the question that both Sasha and Cameron have tried to answer in vain, without knowing that they would find the answer in each other. ______________ #1 lgbtstory #1 homosexuality #1 sexualorientation #1 homophobia #1 lgbt #1 girlxgirl #1 lgbtfiction #1 gxg #1 gaylove #1 sexualorientation #2 lesbianromance

Kitty Cohen and Felicity Campbell are soulmates. Fliss has been sure of this ever since they shared a room their freshman year of college, when their friendship emerged fully-formed the moment they met. They've seen it all together: disastrous house shares; shitty post-grad apartments; too many relationships to count. Now everything's about to change. Kitty is getting married and Fliss didn't think she'd be this heartbroken. Levi's a nice guy. He understands his fiancée's friendship, and he and Fliss get along just fine, but he's just a guy. He isn't special enough for Kitty. But then a shaken Kitty turns up on Fliss's doorstep a few weeks before the big day: the wedding is off. Fliss didn't think she would be so relieved to hear that. Weird. The honeymoon is all paid for, though, so Kitty has a proposition: a girls' trip to Las Vegas, just the two of them and two weeks of drinking and overheating and exploring everything Sin City has to offer. Why not, right? Fliss has barely left the east coast and it's about time she took advantage of her company's unlimited PTO. It'll be nice to have an uninterrupted vacation with her favorite person. Then they get to their all-expenses-paid honeymoon suite and the hotel thinks they're married and it's easier to go along with it than explain the situation. It's not like it matters, right? It's a bit of fun. Until, slowly but surely, Fliss realizes her feelings are more than platonic. Maybe they always have been. And now she's stuck sharing a bed with her best friend, who is pretending to be her wife. © Elle Carrigan 2023

Samantha had a Puzzle to solve. Not a Problem. She wasn't sure if it merited that classification yet. A Problem was something that caused her difficulty in her life. A Problem would require Action and Change. A Puzzle was something new that she didn't yet understand, but she needed to understand in order to decide whether a) there was a Problem or b) no Action was needed. It had taken her some time to become aware that this Puzzle was there in her life. This was unusual: normally new things were jarring, causing a stench in her hearing and a folding in her chest. This Puzzle had crept up on her. That in itself was puzzling. ------------------------ Samantha is different. The world is often a loud, confusing and contradiction place for her. But ever since Year 7, Sarah has been there to help guide her through. Now they are in their second year at Bristol University together and Sarah's behaviour towards her has started to change. This is puzzling to Samantha. However, the greatest Puzzle of all is not whether Sarah has changed: it's whether Samantha has. "This is possibly, probably, the most affecting story I have ever read on this site. I bit hard on the hook in part one, and then you just methodically, deliciously, reeled me in with part two. Literally two hours ago I was oblivious to what was about to happen to me. And now I'm in the "after Samantha and Sarah" part of my existence." - reader Galadriel_Fan "This was a wonderful story from start to finish. I echo the comments of another when I agree that this was one of the most original stories I have read. This was a love story but like no other. You did an amazing job of taking me into the head of a neurodivergent woman. I feel like I understand a person like this so much better, while recognizing that this is one person's journey and will be different for others. You also gave a perfect insight into what it means to love someone like this. " - author Ripley

I let out a soft Mmm and instantly opened my eyes to see her looking at me with her head slightly tilted to the side and an amused smile playing on her lips. "Do you always have that reaction to things that taste good?" The possibility of a double meaning to her question wasn't lost on me and it surprised me, making me cough. I cleared my throat before answering. "Well, it depends.." I answered carefully. "On what?" She leaned forward slightly with what looked like an almost mischievous glint in her eyes. "On what I'm eating," I fired back sounding a lot more confident than I felt. Her eyebrows went up slightly. *** When Ren stumbles upon a job opportunity, she never thinks that it'll completely change her life. Meeting Cameron offers her something she thought she'd never get.. a second chance. Little does she know that it will also mean finally finding herself. When Rosie's new husband ignores her, she begs the harlot next-door for lessons on seduction (1980s suburban dystopia with a spicy lesbian romance) *** It's 1982, and newlywed Rosie McGee has just moved into an idealistic suburban cul-de-sac called Windsor Lane. As a good Christian girl, this is Rosie's dream come true... or at least, it should be. However, next-door-neighbor Scarlett Everly doesn't fit in with the rest of the good Christian wives in their neighborhood (she drinks, she sleeps around, and she doesn't even attend church!). Worse, Rosie's new husband suddenly seems utterly uninterested in her. Has he already been seduced by Scarlett? Or is Rosie simply too boring? After a honeymoon more closely resembling a funeral, Rosie gathers her courage and marches right up to Scarlett's door with a plea: teach me your ways. Scarlett agrees, with one condition: Rosie must model for her next painting. When the agreement leads to unexpected attraction, Rosie begins to question her own priorities. The warmth she once felt when holding Thomas's hand is nothing compared to what she feels when Scarlett is painting her. But a good Christian girl should not think of such things. Especially not in Windsor Lane. Grand Winner for the Pride Awards 2025 Honorable Mention in ONC 2025 ONC 2025 prompt 53: On your honeymoon, you discover the most shocking truth about your spouse--one that could change everything. Also prompt 118: You're feeling trapped in your current relationship and can't shake the urge to break free.
