Read the first taste below, then fasten your seatbelts and hang onto something as you crash into the story.
It felt as though the plane hit a brick wall mid-air, and the first thought she had was terrorists. The force of the impact was so strong that it sent bodies flying through the air, including her friend. She screamed out for her and tried to reach for her, but she was pulled away with such force it was like a blink of an eye, and she was gone. Well, most of her anyway. The sudden warmth pouring out into her lap caused her to glance down where she saw Lexie's lower torso still laying across her.
How she processed any of this with the speed of events happening around her was unreal. The plane was now in a nose dive straight down, but the front of the plane was gone. It was ripped clean off, and that made her next few moments even worse. It was bad enough that she was going to die, but to be forced to stare at the ground until she hit was torture.
The plane smashed the ground so hard it left a ten foot crater in its place. The plane was face down half embedded in dirt. The initial impact should have killed her. The crash into the ground should have killed her, but somehow, she was still alive. dust and smoke began to fill the small space that she occupied. The strong stench of gasoline filled her nostrils, and that's when she finally realized the plane was going to blow. There were electrical cables hanging at the bottom part of the plane, and gas was slowly seeping towards it. She quickly fumbled for her seatbelt, pulling the buckle and planning to fall to the seat in front of her, but that's not what happened.
Pain shot through her side as a blood curdling scream left her throat. The seat her friend was residing in had gotten twisted, and the arm rest was bent going through her stomach and sticking into the back of the seat. She was trapped and didn't know if she was going to succumb to her injuries or burn first. Neither idea was pleasant.
