Bruce yamada has never thought of liking boys, and the thought it would stay that way.. until he starts catching feelings for Vance hopper, the once most popular boy in his highschool. He was a 'new kid' at least to this school, he attended a different school, far away from Denver, with his mom and his twin, but when he was 14 his sister moved away leaving him with his mom, luckily he had always preferred being with his mom. They got close and spent time together. But one late June night as vance's mom left for a breather (Vance and her had gotten into a large disagreement, leading to him storming out to his friends house.) She crashed and died. 3 months later Vance had gotten a hold of his dad,and he was sent to live in Denver in his old house. now Vance was the 'new kid' and everyone was terrified of approaching him for hell knows why (yes yes it does, and we do too vancey poo 🤧)
