When the outbreak of the Rust Plague turns the flourishing village of Eastmoor into a graveyard, Luna has no choice but to leave her ruined home behind. She leaves the disease-ridden village, accompanied by her grandson Alvar--the only one in her family who survived the plague.

Here, at the twilight of her life, she must make a fresh start.

A lonesome journey upon a long and arduous road takes her to Frostspire, a seaside village, where her search for home ends at last.

The Atheil Chronicles: A Call to Fire

38 parts Complete Mature

All her life, Ariana Lucade knew that she was different, though it never really bothered her. She had always been happy with her life exactly the way that it was: she had her mom, her cat, and her forest to keep her company, and she was sure that that was all that she would ever need. Never worrying about the future, never wanting more than what she had, Ariana spent her days out in the forest, letting her mind do the wandering for her while she kept her own feet planted firmly on the ground. That is, until she meets a mysterious stranger one night on a path that never should have been there in the first place. In that one act, Ariana's whole life is thrown into chaos and she's introduced to a world that she never could have imagined existed. Things aren't quite as magical as they seem, though, and Ariana soon finds out that the forest holds much darker secrets than she could have ever dared to dream. This is Book 1 in a 4 part series. Book 2 is ongoing and titled The Atheil Chronicles: A Call to Blood This book has mature scenes and the corresponding chapters toward the end of the book are marked with Trigger Warnings.
