There is something I didn't go over with the soulmate marks. If one of the people who bears the mark dies, the other's mark fades away. The person can feel if their soulmate is dying, it hurts and then their body creates a new mark, normally their previous one morphed with the mark of their new soulmate. Of course that means that their new soulmate's mark changes as well. Normally when this happens the person who is their new soulmate has a mark that means nothing, for reasons like the other man or woman has married someone else or one of the two has given up trying to find their other half. It's not a pleasant thing, it's actually quite painful to feel the mark changing. It burns and causes excruciating pain in the area it forms and takes up to a week to change, two at most. The mark will form where their new soulmate's mark is, and it hurts the one who's body is creating a full new mark more than the one who already had it there.
