Mono, a caring kind hearted boy. This boy would be the center piece of something bigger then anyone could have thought of. Mono has been destined to stay in a time loop for eternity. Mono every single time while stuck in his chair at the tower has droned about wanting to hurt six beyond ways he could think but even after he turned her into a monster he never fulfilled his empty hole inside of his soul. This time the loop was going to be different. Just as mono's final battle with the thin man came he realizes something terrible.

He smiled warmly up at her, tears spilling over. "I'm sorry," he choked out, and he really was. The last thing he wanted was to leave Six all by herself. He knew loneliness all too well. But at least, this way, she would be able to live her life, far away from the cruelties that threatened them every minute as they had gotten closer to the Signal Tower. After the Signal Man had taken her, he devoted himself to getting her back no matter the cost. There was no price too big to pay. He would give up everything for her. Alternatively: If given the choice, Mono would totally sacrifice himself to save Six, if the circumstances were set up that way. Basically, the ending of Little Nightmares 2, but slightly different. The real ending broke me, and was nothing but angst, so here's angst with a happy ending. Beware of spoilers.
