Midoryia Izuku has known from a very young age that the world is unfair. He knew that he was considered a freak. Nothing but a quirkless deku. He knew that being a hero was something to strive for, but something impossible for him. But still, Izuku held onto hope. He dreamed to become a hero, because then he could save people. That's what heroes do, after all. So why, after fourteen years of hoping, does his number one idol crush his dreams and leave him to die? How is he supposed to be a hero if he's trapped, with nothing but notebooks and pencils, on the roof of a not-so-stable building?
