Of course it was you.  You were one of the ones who actually cared about working on the project of "The Amazing Digital Circus" and so in return you were left as the sucker to test it out.  You knew everyone who had touched that headset before you had died.  Though there must had been a completely scientific reason to it instead of the rumors your heard right?  Nevermind.  Now you're trapped in a video game with little to know way out.  Some rogue ai who has taken a bit more of an interest in you than the others now controlling your digital life and the others before you.
