An Avian man saves a amnesiac, mutant girl and helps her train and find out about her past.

Set in a society of winged people called Avians who live in a vast land of mountain and forest called The Aerie. Avians are ruled by five Elders of the five different classes of their society, Warrior, Scholar, Medic, Craftsmen, and Cook. They live in a hall carved into the highest mountain, and any big problem is brought to them for solving. The people live up to three hundred years old. For the first fifty years of their lives, they are raised by their parents and given basic training in all classes. At age fifty, they choose a class to train in for the next fifty years. At a hundred, they go into work as fully trained adults. The chosen weapons of the Avians are spears and bows, although you can find others sold in craftsmen's shops. This race of people seems to think that they are far superior to other races and are unkind to them. This is somewhat true, even their simplest products are of higher quality than that of others, and their way of life is quite stable, but this makes them ignorant and naive.

Someday - A Short Story by HowlEngel

Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story. I hope you'll like it. :D This story will be rarely updated, since I'm busy with school and stuff. So, sorry in advance. ~Just Perfect EDIT: As of 03/29/14 (arranged in this order: dd/mm/yy), this story has deviated from its original "pure romance," into something worth delving deeper into. Quite interesting. And because of this... "something worth delving deeper into," I have decided to continue the story with a PART TWO! Though that will have to wait until after Exile. Or maybe when I get tired of Exile and hope to continue this again. But either way, there WILL be a part two for those who want more zoophilia. Cheers! 03/31/14 (again, in the dd/mm/yy order): Added a simple cover. Will be using this until I am able to draw a better image resembling both of the girl's forms. August 6, 2014: New cover. I like it.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Recent events have cancelled this old, old story. However! The synopsis for the rest of the chapters I had planned for the sequel, Cloudborn, are at the end of the second book along with the planned third book I had planned to write. Feel free to enjoy the unfinished, old story as you please. And please remember that the new upcoming revamp is a side project that will not have my full attention, so it will not be guaranteed completion. However, the storyline is the exact same as the original Iceborn. So you needn't worry about being left in the dark! (Book 1 of the Iceborn Series) Years after the Dragonets of Destiny. Generations after the defeat of Darkstalker. Pyrrhia has been at peace for as long as their queens could remember. But the hatching of a special dragon might change the course of Pyrrhia's peaceful reign. A twin IceWing egg, hatching twin Dragonets. One with too much ice, the other with too little. Blizzard the IceWing is Iceborn. After being accused of murdering another of her kind, Blizzard is forced to flee the Ice Kingdom or be killed. While on the run, Blizzard runs into two very peculiar dragons. Two dragons with strange symbols on their bodies. Two dragons from a faraway land. A land where Blizzard could start over. A land called Magisalla. The Wings of Fire series Belongs to Tui T. Sutherland. This is merely a fanfiction. NOTE: This story was created before the announcement of the Lost Continent.

Everything was going according to plan-until my life crumbled. Fresh out of university, I was ready to chase my dreams, fulfill my parents' hopes, and carve out my destiny. But fate had different plans. "Creation of the World"-a game of limitless possibilities, offering its user the power to control realms, to create and destroy without limits. Cassian watched helplessly as the Earth merged with this world of his own design. Stripped of control, he awoke in a body not his own. Cassian StarHold-the older brother of the world's greatest hero. -- I lived as a puppet, a slave bound to an unyielding fate, sacrificing everything for mere scraps. Yet, my tormentors weren't content with simply binding me. They brought war to my doorstep, erasing everything I had painstakingly built. Now, I stand amidst thousands of their finest, listening to the man who destroyed my world. He looms high above, addressing the crowd from atop majestic marble columns, his silver hair blending seamlessly with the sky. "People are not equal!" His voice, dripping with arrogance, slices through the air. "We are the peak of evolution! Nothing surpasses us! We've ascended, leaving mountains of inferior blood in our wake. And now, you shall inherit this legacy!" He pauses, eyes cold and prideful, scanning the masses below. "This power must be earned, not handed down by birth. Wealth, power, status-they demand a mountain of sacrifices for even a glimpse." With arms outstretched, madness flickers in his eyes, mirrored by the thousands who echo his zeal. "You cannot fathom the blood shed to place you here. But you will learn. And I swear on my pride... Only those worthy will survive! Soon, I will show you why we are called dragons!" What these so-called dragons don't understand is that the puppet is about to break free. He's wrong-none of them will survive.

[Character Introduction in chapter 1 | warnings at the top of every story chapter] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In a world populated by winged humanoids, called Avians, there's a legend that everyone knows of and most everyone believes -- There are butterflies that follow the most pure Avians around as helpful guides. Why do the butterflies do this? There are multiple theories, from ancestors of the Avians to even being sent from gods as guardian Spirits. However, No one really knows.. You may be wondering, if this is just a legend, why is it believed by most Avians? Well the legend is true. However, as decades went by it's became a rarer sight.. Most of the time these butterflies started to help in secret for reasons nobody really understands. This story, however, is of one of those Avian guided by butterflies who hid, and how that changed.. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Disclaimer: I'm not transgender, so I'm likely to get stuff wrong.
