The world had changed since "The Coming". It is now an arid desolate place where technology and society failed. A world where each rain drop and even each breath taken could kill, slowly.
Each day is a struggle for survival against the Aspects roaming the barren lands feeding on themselves and on people. Mankind has not been on the top of the food chain for centuries and is constantly on the brink of extinction.
For Io, this world is all she had ever known. For the red-eyed hunter the survival of the Den is all that matters. However; when she abandons the Den pursued by her legacy, the Den's power-hungry elder and her own mind, she takes the path to exile and to the truth. But when she finally faces her fate she may have to realise that the Aspects are not her only worries. There are things in motion that she can't possibly know but If she manages to stay alive for a while, she may get the chance to learn that the coming was only the beginning...

A Different Virus - Laura's Story by CrystalScherer
153 parts Complete
This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Is this fleeting shadow something that can help her or could this mysterious figure be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves? ---------------------- Ranked #1 Apr 10, 2018 (A huge thank you to all who read and voted!) This story is copyright and built from my own imagination. This book was a special request from someone who helped me a lot. This viewpoint has less action than the original. The cover was made by @All_AboutAssymetry. A huge thanks to her! Copyright September 2016. All Rights Reserved. Readers may not copy, alter, or steal this story. Kelly Titan by RobertHelios
1 part Complete Mature
Kelly Titan is the beginning of a science fiction universe where the reader will explore the origin story of a supervillain with a mental disorder and a deep understanding of AI programming. However, many antagonists start their journey as someone good, but the perspective will change over the course of the series, later to experience the story from Kelly's new perspective as the story's villain. The reader will get the chance to explore why good people turn bad, and why bad people turn good, and the reasons behind it. It stars an orphan tomboy named Kelly Titan, an advanced computer scientist with the brains over brawn to her advantage. She was taken from the streets of Earth at a young age to a mining planet, Quill, to work on a project she never knew the real purpose for. Soon she became a part of a new family and gained a purpose. What she didn't know was that she was working on a next generation overwatch system called Olympus. A system keeping millions of people trapped on Quill, never to return back to Earth. All given the promise of a high reward. Instead, they were all fooled and became slaves under Olympus watching eye. Millions of humans became stranded on the red desert planet, only to extract fuel back to Earth. Kelly will understand that what she helped to created wasn't just a overwatch system, it was the very foundation of which a new kind of slavery was built on. An intergalactic treadmill to drain Earth from the unwanted. Upon deeper discovery, Kelly will find herself in the middle of an alien civil war that the humans have started and funded to keep the fear amongst the colony workers. Kelly will be given the opportunity to become the bridge between the humans and the natives, but in order to become the bridge and save a planet from oppression, she has to go against her own creation, her own family.

Lotticia Andrews had spent her entire life behind the walls of her library. Her father raised her to be selfish, and to fear the outside, and even after his death- she never left. She and her border collie had remained- until their food ran out. Lotticia wasn't a fighter, she only ever knew how to use knives- a knife her father had taught her how to use. A knife, a dog, a journal, and anxiety are all her father left her with. And books- hundreds of books. Then a Warrior general stomps his way into her life- trampling her solitary and lonely life. He's loud and obnoxious, imposing- but there seemed more beneath his hard exterior. His personality was a weapon he wore like his armor. General Christoph was a harsh leader compared to his predecessor Zelle. The warrior who trained him and chose him to continue in his footsteps after his death. He was bitter and cynical- and didn't intend to take another woman after his mate had died all those years ago. But things don't always go according to plan- he never meant to stumble upon a small female, nor her furry big-eyed dog. Christoph needed this human, for her knowledge and the language she could help them to understand her hand language. A small group, a one-day trip- that was all it was supposed to be. But then no one expected poachers, Another human female, or the natural cycle and what it could do to the human body. Christoph had completely underestimated the trip. Now war has broken out and tensions rise- both buried feelings and skeletons come falling out of the closet. Can this spunky smart girl survive the Palace's wrath? Can Christoph face the reality that things aren't always what they seem nor black and white? Will Lassie play her part- and find her way home? Who knows- maybe humanity was doomed on Earth- but that won't be Lottie or her dog- because she's willing to do whatever it takes to get moved up to the front of the list. Even if it means dealing with the palace, poachers, and skrill alike.
