LakeFeather, a newly appointed warrior, discovers that her clan is under attack while she is out on patrol with her deputy and three other cats. Unable to win such a vicious battle, LakeFeather's home is broken down and her clan-mates are no more.
Now having to face the reality of what has been done, the remaining warriors travel to neutral territory where they come up with the idea to form a new clan.
Will Lakefeather be able to protect what is left of her clan?
