Like a virus spreading through my being,
Leaving no part untouched, no semblance of health.
Untreated, it spreads, weakens, drains.

I'm sick, my depression remains a relentless captor,
Enveloping, controlling, slowly destroying.
A battle that feels impossible to win,
A disease with no known cure."
