Akito Shinonome, a commoner in the Ice Kingdom of Ao, loved swordsmanship. Even though he lived in Ao Kingdom, he despised the royals. The royals would always act boastly because of their status, and that had his blood boil. They were useless, only born from the status; not made of their status. Although he was quite confident in his talent, he was always feeling like as if he wasn't special and not enough. When he gets a chance to prove his abilities and put it to good use by joining Knight Corporation, he was absolutely thrilled despite his feeling of resentment.

However, he has questions about Prince Toya and why he's so isolated, secluded, somehow distant, and his distinction from other average royals. Along the way, he reaches out to Prince Toya and finds out that The Royal Aoyagi Family is not what it seems, as war also arrives between the two neighbouring kingdoms with unknown reasons: Ao Kingdom and Hamasuta Kingdom. Will they find out the truth and survive the tragic war, or will they not succeed?
