Dorothy Han always knew that her only family was her grandmother, who raised her since she was a little baby. After knowing about her mothers death Dorothy's mother reaches out to her and brings to Los Angeles to live with her.
But she really wasn't welcomed there. Her parents don't want her. They only took her in because they don't want her to end up on the streets or an orphanage.
