We were saying, 'What would happen if Rengoku met Eri, and so, we came up with Rengoku adopting Eri and stuff, but we didn't come up with how they met, and how Rengoku got her to first smile, since there wasn't really concerts back then.

However the soulmate thing won't pop up in the story for a while because people tend to ignore it. It is a thing you only talk about with people close to you.
