I wrote these poems in my Intermediate Poetry Workshop class for a chapbook project that spanned the entire semester. The common theme I chose was Zodiac and Astrology, alongside my own confessions to people in my life both real and hypothetical.

The Twelve Realms (A Zodiac Story)
The twelve Zodiacs all live together at a boarding school, but all that changes when Gemini claims she saw a magical airship hovering over the academy. The other eleven protested that there was nothing but despair and clouds in its place, but when the Twelve wake up on the ship after a day that everyone found weird, everything changes . . . The Zodiacs find themselves transported to another world, another realm full of secrets and riddles, where something has gone terribly wrong. It's up to the twelve of them to stop the world from falling into darkness, but . . . "We're just teenagers," Aries argued, slamming her fist onto the map. "How are we supposed to do anything?" After a while they decide to escape, little do they know theres dangers and complications on the way that they aren't aware of How will this end? What will happen? Rascals (A Zodiac Story)
Thirteen rascals are now about face a whole new world type of trouble ahead. Their life changes when a mysterious man named Ophiuchus appears and claims that these teens have unique zodiac powers and are Earth's only hope. Ophiuchus demands absolute loyalty and a readiness to sacrifice everything. However, ingrained distrust and the prospect of collaboration make this proposition a volatile mix. Accustomed to fighting for survival, not the planet, the Zodiacs face an impossible choice. The real question ain't whether they're ready to throw down against monsters. It's whether they can survive living under the same roof and not kill each other first.
