"Magic was real. Monsters were real. And I was magic, or a monster. I wasn't sure which." Ivy Monroe is happy enough being normal. And despite her relatively humdrum life, the theatre bookings agent feels perfectly fulfilled by her hard-working career. Until a dashing man with a cryptic assumed identity reveals she's the first human familiar in a millennium. Stunned to find she's already broken the rules by binding herself to the suave vampire instead of a witch, Ivy's unwitting actions plunge her into a necromancer's vendetta. And in a realm where one ill-advised alliance can be fatal, she struggles to gain control over her unruly magic as she fights to avoid a deadly choice. Can she escape a dangerous destiny before she's sent to her doom?

Two sisters who think they're human soon find out their not. Ivy meets her soul mate but almost loses her sister. They find their dad but find out deep secrets about the family. These girls are actually werewolves, vampires and witches all in one but Ivy seems to be more powerful and extra things, like why can she see the future and past of people and why can she see dead people when her sister can't? Also Ivy falls in love with a boy but is this the boy for her or will she find her Wolf Mate? Or will another boy get in the way? I apologise for a rubbish description, the book isn't as bad as the description. I advice you to read the book, if you want to know what it is about.
