Washed up onto the shores of Kyōto amidst thrashing waves, Yasuda Shirofumi was swept straight into a den of samurais that she'd quickly learn was the Shinsengumi. One would think someone like her would fit straight in: after all, if you were to hear her story, you'd see her as someone who tended to attract tragedy. 
  
  But soon, she - along with the Shinsengumi - would find out that nothing was as it seemed: there was a conspiracy at play, and Shirofumi was a target.
