Eiko Goro has never led a very happy life. he's been bullied, beaten and abused, and never had much to catch his interest. His siblings treat him as poorly as everyone else does. He's far from handsome, and his heart of gold has never been hard enough to harm another far. Many times, his heart has been bruised, and come near to tearing, but with his grandfather to support him, he's always managed to protect it. But when his grandfather dies, and leaves nearly his entire will to Goro, the true hate the rest of his family fostered towards him is released as they try to take it all away. Failing only because of the iron-clad lawyer his grandfather, Yuki, had prepared for this, the Eiko family disowned Goro, leaving him to live off of his inheritance alone, without anyone save his rarely-seen uncle to turn to for help. Eventually, after graduating from Arigasaki High with noone to cheer him on or support him, Goro breaks and discovers, in a moment of pure shadow, a part of his inheritance he'd never been told about. Will he be able to overcome his troubles and reconcile with the man who should have been his kin? Or will he fall from the ledge he climbs and lose what little he has gained? A story about self-discovery and reconciliation, the lifting of a weight heavier than a mountain, and finding family where it has been lost. Cover art is temporary.
