After a year of the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry had no will to live anymore. He had lost Hermione, his lover, his best friend and the one he had planned his future with. She had fallen to the curse of Bellatrix Lestrange and Harry had returned it to the insane woman tenfold in rage. That was also the day when Tom Riddle AKA Voldemort fell to the wand of the 'chosen one'. He had spent more than half of a year after the battle in Godric's Hollow, where he had buried Hermione, near his parents and the rest of the time, he spent taking care of his Godson. 

Being Intoxicated with Firewishky didn't help either. Finally, he figured out he wouldn't be able to live on happily anyway. So he wrote a will giving out a good amount of money to Weasleys and the Rest of Black and Potter's fortune to Teddy, his Godson. He had even made sure that his will wouldn't be 'sealed' like Dumbledore had done and the Ministry of Magic, wouldn't be able to scam Teddy off his inheritance for being the son of a werewolf. Of course, he had to make the big Guns of the ministry, including Kingsley- the minister of magic, sign the contract at his wand point and later obliviate them. After Hermione's death, he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty. 

He then attacked a gathering of vampires, werewolves and dark wizards who were planning to take advantage of Magical Britain's current situation as they were severely weakened after the short but cruel reign of Dark Lord Voldemort, and single-handedly killed most of them, but not before he got hit with a killing curse. With a grin, he awaited his next great adventure to meet Hermione.All Rights Reserved

When she learned about his abilities she was extremely happy and wasn't going to let the opportunity of having a member of the Black family who was born with three rare magical powers go to pass. She wrote in her will that she would leave everything to her great-nephew including 12 Grimmauld Place, the Black family vault, and the family elf Kreacher, before dying in 1985, leaving Noctis to reside in the house alone for his own safety for most of his life from the Ministry of Magic until he turns 11 when the headmaster of Hogwarts arrives changing his life forever. Voldermort rose in Draco Malfoy's 3rd. At the end of the year. They did not know why or how or what happened. They had been attempting it, Draco knew despite his father's tight lips. Yet, the process had not gone as planned. It was the soul from the diary that had returned, not the 20-odd year old that they had been expecting. This came with...complications. Tom Riddle was 16. Ideally, he would go to hogwarts in order to recruit those that would remain loyal to only him. Sure he had the remnants that his older self had recruited, but Tom did not know them, and furthermore, he doubted the viability of many of them. So he uses them, but he wants more loyal followers, and as such he needs to go to Hogwarts. Quite a decent foundation for such things. Using the young Draco Malfoy, molding him, grooming him, he would fool Albus Dumbledore, gain access to Hogwarts, and then he would begin his recruitment process. If he found his mate, became a bit too attached (obsessed) , and started another feud, well all part of the process he supposed. There were other issues as well. With Remus Lupin, the werewolf, still teaching, and the favoritism amongst the students, they had some work to do, but it was nothing Tom couldn't handle.
