Since a small child, Hitwen had been in the care of Lord Elrond after the death of her parents. He adopted her and raised as her own. Now the enemy has returned and she joins the council meeting with other elves, dwarfs, men, the wizard Gandalf and the hobbit Frodo. With her love of sword fighting and archery, she joins the Fellowship to destroy the one ring once and for all.
While the Fellowship ventures to the dangerous roads to Modor, Hithwen begins to uncover a secret from past that keeps her from falling for the son of Thranduil. Will the the Fellowship stop Sauron before he takes over Middle-Earth? Will Hithwen let go of the past that's been haunting her and finally give her trust to Legolas?

"So you've fallen in love with a dwarf?" "What?! No!" When Gandalf came to Mirkwood with a quest of reclaiming Erebor, Alithia Thranduillell couldn't resist the thrill of an adventure. Without a word to anyone, not even her overprotective father, she ran away from home to join the Company of Thorin Oakenshield. After all, it was only to help them reclaim Erebor. Little did she know, a certain blond haired dwarf would come into her life and change it. Being the next in line for the throne after his uncle, Fili had a duty. He had to fight by his uncle's side to reclaim Erebor, their home. That was it. The last thing he expected from joining the quest was meeting an elf maiden and falling for her more and more with each passing day. But there was one problem: Thorin hated elves. When hordes of orcs start roaming Middle Earth once more, Miranna, along with her mare, tracks them and exterminates them along the way while finding the orc who killed her parents. The youngest of Lord Elrond's children has always been different from her siblings. A part of her seemed to be locked away, waiting for the right moment to burst forth. Despite this, she was loved, she was treasured and she was protected... until she wasn't. The day she unlocked her true self is a day that haunts her. Instead of the assured protection of her family, she became the protector. That day lingers. It scars. The traumatic event not only affected her but her family. As time moves forward the scar remains, not loudly or visible but it remains. Until an event occurs and that nightmare was said to slink back into darkness, providing a semblance of peace. A small fire, a source of heat for her but a beacon for unsavoury characters. That is all took for the nightmare to come back. That once locked part now pulsates. A warning perhaps or a sign of evolving. She seeks out a wizard for her answers and instead she leaves with more questions and uncertainties. She offers her help when asked, a small thing for a dear friend... Oh how she regrets that. Dwarves! Dragons! Wargs! She did not agree with this. She did not agree with it at all! Amongst, verbally combating with dwarves, playing therapist to an emotionally compromised hobbit, refraining from pushing an annoyingly vague wizard; she finds the past does not remain there. She joined the quest of Thorin's dwarven company to have something to do, and she quickly became a part of their group. After a long and arduous journey but still a far away from the mountain they stumble into trouble. And whom is there to save her, but a certain Mirkwood prince with long blond hair and a pair of startling blue eyes. With one of them bursting with light, and the other filled with darkness their story will be anything but easy.
