"Do you ever get the feeling the crazy from another person has somehow become yours? As if in the moment they stormed away in anger, they left behind their screwball ghost, and you... have become it's home."

  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Awakening is about the life of Darcy Ellington, her relationships, tears, triumphs and discoveries.  Those 'awakenings' are sometimes good but others times ugly, and the deepest feelings and fears can only be written, because speaking of them is too much.
Within the disappointments, there are times when everything becomes magnified, it all looks so different, and she wonders how she ever saw it any other way.
And what is wrong with Dan?  Why are his troubles so concealed?  Will she ever discover the mysteries deep within the man she loves?
All based on my character 'Darcy Ellington' I write about in poetry on my Tumblr blog.  (See link in my profile).
Her story is told in a mixture of prose, poetry and revealing conversation.  Each chapter is very short - no lengthy stories to read
You can dip in and read the bits you find you connect to most or read it as the book progresses - it's up to you!
