In Spite of All the Danger | John Lennon

January 6th, 1957:

A young American girl new to Liverpool goes out with her family to their local church event to try and mingle and make new acquaintances in this new country. They go to the church's yearly garden fete and it's peaceful at first. That is, until a young teddy boy and his mates come to perform at the party on the back of a long lorry, surprising the audience with their songs and rock and roll. The young man singing his heart out ends up catching the attention of the young American, as well as another young musician, Paul McCartney. When the girl and Paul both meet young John Lennon on this fateful day, everything changes as they both form a strong bond with him. Now, John must try to balance the love he has for them both, as well as try to balance his relationships between his strict aunt Mimi, who raised him, and his free spirited but often unstable mother, Julia.
