Ash Noel's older sister demanded that they commence their sophomore year of high school. This was a fairly abrupt turnaround for Ash she has been battling depression for more than a year, which caused her to miss all of her freshman year of school.

Now facing bigger problems at school realizing she doesn't fit in.

Ash & her sister have a secret that no one must know of they are from a family of shape-shifters. That being said, they are not permitted to shape-shift, since it is strictly prohibited in the human realm.

Ash doesn't know who she really is and doesn't like who she is, and starts trying to change herself later to fit in, going to great lengths to alter her appearance, while getting out of bed is hard for her.

Ash now constantly changes herself in order to blend in some healthy and unhealthy ways hoping to find herself.

Eventually she gets tired and breaks all the rules, deciding to shape-shift persistently to fit in at school, which is a bad notion because she would now have to pay the price in both worlds.

Will her relatives and close friends learn the truth? When going too far, do all these modifications really make a difference in making things better? Does the way you look determine how you feel on the inside?
