Vita Impins is the niece of dictator, President Impins, trying to help end the Vastare War ll.  She's unsure if she's able to risk it all for Corrumpo, their world. She and Squad Victoria must travel to Magnum Bibliothecam, the Great Library, to find the Liber Secrets---Book of Secrets. In the book, there's a chant of stories that summons Pax, Roman goddess of peace. However, the only solution that Pax has for rebuilding society isn't what Vita expects or wants.
