IN HEAVY PROGRESS
Based on the book by Gene Stratton Porter (1907).
*THIS IS NOT MUDSHOCK, BRUISE, OR JAYA!*
The ninja are all gone their separate ways and have their own families.
Cole, however, never got married... He stayed with the Walkers, looking after them.
It's because Jay, his very best friend, drinks too much and he wouldn't be able to support his family on his own...
But first, it's for Nya.
Cole still loves her.
At the Foot of the Rainbow (1907) description:
"...the story of the complex bonds of friendship between [Jay Walker] and [Cole Brookstone], and the woman they both love."
My book is for Conya, since that is what the original book is "for". If you only like Jaya and you absolutely will never tolerate Conya, this book is not for you.
In the original book, "Jay" did some... not-so-great things. He was irresponsible, selfish, and didn't take care of his wife (even though he really is a sweet person). "Cole", however, is responsible, sacrificial, hard-working (probably workaholic), strong, and so loving. His friendship with "Jay" means the whole world to him.
He is concerned, though, for "Nya"...
The original book takes place in Indiana, on the Wabash River (yay Hoosiers!)
I am basically copying this book EXACTLY, except I'm obviously changing the characters and dialogue (Scottish accent & slang).
Cover fanart is not mine.
I don't own Ninjago or the ATFOTR story. This is just a crossover of the two.
"You do know how to eat a burger, right?"
Summer rolled her eyes, looking up at him with feigned exasperation. "Of course I do," she retorted, then lowered her voice as she leaned in, her expression shifting to one of genuine concern. "Do you think they have a fork and knife? So I can, you know... cut it?"
