Bryan Smith was now in high school, the thought of it was repelling, especially for a kid like him, who people considered unusual and boring. Nobody considered him popular or smart or cool. They did not think he was good looking either, though his name usually comes up when girls talk about pretty boys. Nobody would want to date a reserved boy like him, but they could not deny the fact that he would be in the top ten of his class.

Bryan's neighbour Mark Harris was the only one in the whole of his class who hung out with him, which was unusual because he was considered one of the most popular of his grade.

Bryan expected school to be bad..... But he never had he even imagined it to be as dreadful as it turned out to be....
