Cover by @VengefulDesires (Under Editing) ****** The clouds coated the sky in grey paint. My face was flushed from the cold and my hands where slowly going numb. I lifted the edge of the red and white scarf that vaguely resembled a pokèball and lifted it over my ears so that it covered the tip of my nose and down. My dull eyes searched the area to make sure nobody was around. I sighed and lifted my toes. I stood on my heels for awhile than I made my self go off balance. I heard the pound of footsteps coming closer. They where too late. The wind whipped around me making my scarfs end fly in front of me. Everything seemed to slow down as I was halfway from the bridge and the raging current that was I was currently falling to my death towards. I looked up to the edge of the bridge to see a figure leaning over the edge. Their shoulders shook. I suddenly felt guilty. A flood of guilt as I realized that I didn't want to die anymore. That I wanted to see their faces again. I felt tears fall down my face. I was stupid and everyone was going to pay the price for it. I felt a sudden shock of pain as my back hit the water. Wolf Eyes
It was his eyes. His eyes held me captive. They contained every emotion that I could ever think of and more. They reflected myself back onto me. My pain, my fear, my sadness. There was even a sliver of the happiness that I used to feel a long time ago. His eyes made me remember everything that had happened in my life up to this point. They also made me forget. They made me forget almost all of the things that were being reflected back at me as well, like my sadness, my fear, and my pain. They made me forget what it was like to feel hurt, to feel rejected, to feel forgotten. He kneeled down in front of me, bringing his beautiful eyes closer, so that I could see the starburst of lighter flecks decorating the iris. "Are you alright?" He asked with a voice as soft as the rain. As soft as the concern he had for a pitiful girl curled up behind the school dumpster in the rain. I couldn't speak. I was too focused on his eyes through my tear-filled gaze. "Did someone do this to you?" His voice had an edge of hardness to it now, like a diamond with a sharp edge. I could only nod. He fell silent for a few seconds, letting the swelling rain be the only sound between us, before he reached out slowly and scooped me into his arms and lifted me up easily. "Don't be afraid, okay? "Cas, it's not going to break." Dean, just to prove it, stomps once, twice, three times against the ice. He even slams both feet down against it just for good measure, laughing when his foot slips and he crashes to the ice. "Dean!" Cas yelps, tears welling in his eyes and hands reaching for Dean. "Cas, I'm fine," Dean assures, moving to stand, eyes locked on Cas. Then the ice breaks, and Dean falls through. The last thing he sees is Cas' horrified face, helpless to stop him from falling before the cold hits him, stabbing the air from his lungs with fingers like knives and stealing every thought in his brain. Bang! I sat bolt upright. Did I imagine that? That noise? What was it? I clambered out of bed and almost fell down the stairs with the panic that had set in. My front door was wide open but nobody was there, the wood was just swinging in the doorway allowing the cool breeze in my house. What if somebody was already inside? I hopped over the living room sofa, to climb the stairs yet again and as I made it to the landing I was thrown into the wall. My body pinned against it with a muscled form shadowing mine. A hand placed over my mouth silenced my screams that I was too scared to let out anyway. "I'm not going to hurt you. Just don't scream." It was Colton. His husky voice was a distinct reminder that he was my mate. The tingles that spread through my body made me hate but love the entire situation. I want him closer. "You don't run away from me, understand?" I nodded, he was really close to me and my wolf purred for him to be closer. I pushed the thoughts to the back of my mind as he slowly removed his hand. "What do you want?" I demanded, making the futile attempt to shove him away though he didn't move an inch. "I want what is mine." He replied with a low growl that sent chills up my spine. My back was still pressed firmly against the wall and I think I was in shock to move. Though I felt safe which made me feel sick, how could I be safe in the presence of him? "No." I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. "No?" He repeated my words back to me and I boiled the kettle for a cup of tea. My mum said tea fixes everything, then again it never fixed her relationship. "You heard me." "I heard you clear. I'm just making sure you're happy with that answer before I make you regret it." Colton advanced forward, pure dread taking over my body at the size of him compared to me. He leaned forward so his lips were against my ear and with a soft tone he whispered.
