Hanabi Miya is not what you would imagine her to be. While her two brothers were among the most popular volleyball players, she was someone who avoided the sport. Not because she hated it, but because she simply didn't like it, as her brothers had mostly forced her to play as a child.

However, things would soon change for Hanabi when she decided not to go to the same high school as the twins. She decided on a completely different high school. Shiratorizawa, which also had many talents.
But what would happen if Hanabi took up volleyball and became interested in ace? And what would happen if she saw her brothers again at the national games?

After ruthless hours of training relentlessly, she managed to achieve a higher level of volleyball and has climbed the ranks to now be one of the best high school power spikers in the nation. She had attended Shiratorizawa all her life, however after things blow up with her volleyball team at the end of her first year, she decides that she can't stay there any longer. She didn't just want to make it to nationals, that wasn't enough. She wanted to win it. So with a heavy heart, she left her home, and her brother helped her chose an acceptable new school, Inarizaki. Everyone has a hobby in their life that they would like to pursue. This was also true for Kaede Tokoyami, who had always enjoyed writing. It didn't matter to her what it was exactly. Poems, presentations that she had to give afterwards, final papers that she had always written far too long. There were no better grades for Kaede. It wasn't important to her to get a better grade by having so many pages. She was simply in her own element at such times. In her hobby, which she wanted to pursue as her job. But there was a side to Kaede that had kept her from doing so all this time. Her uncertainty. Not knowing how everything might turn out, Kaede was afraid to turn her hobby into her profession. It wasn't until high school, when two girls convinced her otherwise, that Kaede decided to put her whole life into a novel, although she would still need a male protagonist.
