I've been on the run from my family for years. Between the nightmares that felt alive, and the torture my family called my punnishment I would do anything to keep them from finding me. When the world begins to explode into small star like sparks there's nothing I can do to stop it. The strange woman that appeared out of nowhere wasnt any help either. Never in a million years would I have guessed what would happened next.  Now I'm faced with a journey of discovery but I dont know if I will ever be able to let my guard down. My biggist fears now are either my family finding a way to get to me or falling prey to a new family every bit as depraved as my last.

Since I was sixteen every so often I would catch the most delisious scent, roses and spice. My instincts screamed at me to run twards that scent. At 16 I was already the best tracker in the pack but still no matter how fast I followed the scent it would dissapear before I found its source. It was like the ultimate game of hide and seek, and so far I had lost every round. Everyone in the pack thought I was loosing my mind. That is everyone but my family. When I turned 18 I was finaly able to recognise the scent as that of my mate. Still I couldn't get to her before her scent dissapeared again. Recently it was different. I was getting closer each time. My "phantom mate" wouldn't be able to elude me for much longer. My mouth watered and my hands itched when I thought of finally catching her. Tonight was a celibration for me taking over as dean of the university for my father, the boys had decided to take me to the entertainment district to a little known club that specialized in dancers. The headliner was unable to attend tonights performance much to the boy's chagrin but nothing could have prepaired me for her replacement.
