Finding a journal, you learn of the many horrors Tara Sterling, a mute college girl, faced as she made her way through the dead-filled city. She was living her normal life in Raccoon City like everyone else, but one day an unknown virus began spreading. Thinking it a prank, she ignored the warnings in the news, until she witnesses it with her own eyes. Meeting rookie cop Leon Kennedy on the way, she hopes he can be her ticket to surviving this mess. What secrets will they uncover together, as they navigate the horrors hidden within Raccoon City?
