thus, the story is about rowan and ezra, two boys who are intoxicatingly in love, but rowan is struggling with mild schizophrenia and depression as well as anxiety. he slowly is developing separation anxiety from ezra, whom he has loved since he was little. Ezra, who gets told about rowans schizophrenia early on, slowly learns about rowans anxiety and depression. now ezra has to learn how to be a good friend again.
