Global warming has drastically changed planet earth. The ozone layer has deminished thousands of years ago. The blazing sun scorches the earth during the day and temperatures sky-rocket. With night the thick fog rules in and temperatures drop below freezing. Thats when the rain comes, sharp bits of ice pelting down upon the earth. As hot and bright is the day, the night is as black and cold. No stars illuminate the sky only the ocasional glow from the moon behind the clouds. Overtime the few survivors of humanity evolved. Adapting to the extremes of nature two species were formed. The people of the sun and moonwalkers were all that was left of mankind. Nobody remembers when or who started the war, but the retaliations were endless. A young moonwalker gets accidently dragged out in the night and is lost to her friends when the sun comes up. A young man belonging of the people of the sun goes out early in hopes of hunting before the night animals are safely hidden from the sun. He stumbles along the young girl and saves her from burning in the light of day. Are the two species so evolved apart? Or will they find they are not so different? Could two people save humanity? Or could the war destroy them all?
