this has nothing to do with a hippo in a bowl of milk.  Young Sam has a gift, a gift of screwing things up.  All she knows is how to let people down, be a social outcast, and to be ignored. She has no friends. Well, she has one. Henry, a rather sweet boy that has been there for her since kinder garden. Now entering 9th grade everything is changing. Her and her best friend are growing apart. And he is pretty much all she knows. Things are crashing down all around her and her life is falling apart.
