The Hunger Games was a punishment. A punishment given by the capital to the districts due to the uprising that caused district 13 to be destroyed.

One boy and one girl from each district, fighting to death every year in an arena that showcased them as animals rather than people.

When she faces expulsion, and her father passes, Sally is forced to return to District 5, just in time for the reaping of the 10th annual hunger games.

When her name is called, Sally is thrown into a world of survival and chaos. A singing girl, humans turned to ruthless murderers, and 2 worlds collide. Coriolanus Snow, her former enemy, becomes her mentor for the games. And despite everything they once thought, the two of them are forced to lean on one another in the midst of their worst nightmares.
