Finnick and Rory's parents were close friends so they were always around each other. That was until the 65th Annual Hunger Games when Finnick Odair was reaped and sent into the arena. He becomes a powerful victor and was still very close friends with Aurora, and he spent everyday trying to protect her. That lasted until he made Snow mad, and next thing you know the 66th Hunger Games comes around and Aurora must fight to stay alive.
