Summer. The season of first love. The season of change. "It was not my intention to be his first love. In retrospect, it was not his intention either. Most romances take place in summer and ours was no different. Mixed with the humid air was a sweltering passion, built on a whim and staggering on a weak foundation and as young as we were, we knew we were only real together in that place, in that time. We knew and yet we tricked ourselves with the promise of otherwise." ----- A short book on first love, pleasure and the aftermath of passion. *Short chapters as it is planned to be a short book

Summers are supposed to be that time of the year that you should look forward to. No school, hours at the beach, late night parties. What's not to love? Three words. My neighbor's grandson. For once in her life, Maliah Arias is looking forward to her summer. It's the summer before senior year and life couldn't be better. She has a hot college boyfriend, plenty of Dl soccer scholarship offers, and she just went through a massive glow up. To make matters better, her neighbor's annoying yet very hot grandson, Jackson Cruz, who usually visits every summer, is away in Europe. When circumstances change, Maliah finds herself once again in the presence of Jackson, who seems hell-bent on making her life miserable. Although as time passes, the two of them find themselves growing closer and closer, whether they like it or not. Tears are shed, hearts are broken, and Maliah finds herself wondering if she'll be able to survive the summer and make it to senior year.
