Drexler slowly edged towards the open door, peering into the darkness. Something large flew out of the door and slammed into him, sending him sprawling on the floor. Lying on top of him was the body of one of their crew members, his head lolling to the side, his neck obviously broken.

"Get him off me! Get him off me!" shouted Drexler, frantically sliding himself out from under the corpse.

"Pull yourself together, man," said the captain, rolling his eyes.

One of the men went to help him when a tall figure with flaming red hair leapt out of the doorway.

Astra stood up to her full height, a sword in one hand, a pistol in the other. "Hello boys."

"Get her!" shouted the captain. He lifted his pistol but before he could fire, Astra had knocked it from his grip with a swoosh of her sword, taking most of his fingers with it. He screamed in agony as blood spurted from his hand.All Rights Reserved

She must quickly discover that uniqueness and use it to create a friendship with the aliens before the world as we know it ends.
